Positive Vision No. 3: Transnational Corporations are Extinct

Global warming caused mass extinction of transnational corporations (TNCs) because they didn't heed the warning to stay out of the kitchen and couldn't stick the heat.

My affirmation to use while meditating on this positive vision is: The coast is clear.

John Lennon had the right idea when he sang imagine all the people. Imagination is a gift of the soul. It allows us to create. We have created our present through our imagination in the past, much of which is good, but how much better we could do! We have the power to create a new present and a new future in which there is a continuous supply of good food, clean water and air and ample products as nature provides to make life comfortable for everyone on the planet. But without the soul, there is little imagination and we are destroying nature instead. TNCs have no soul, that is why they are like machines and that is why they are like the Borg. They are also outdated, antiquated and way too big for their own good. Today, we are either incapable of developing our souls through lack of awareness or losing them because our awareness is being usurped by corporate influences.  But with a little imagination, this could quickly change.

Imagine the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and board members and other Officers of each TNC, especially those involved in today’s food industry (many listed below as examples) sitting at their respective big expensive tables in their highly polished expensive surroundings all at once having a spiritual revelation. They realise that their corporation, as a separate legal person, is destroying nature, destroying life on earth and even killing every person at the very table at which they are sitting. They further realise that the pursuit of ever increasing growth and profit would seem to be madness. Imagine each respective CEO saying “[t]he dispute then... is not about any common matter, but about being mad or not” (M. Aurelius, XI, 38).  For they would know that "the more firmly they believe in their delusions, the more they stand in need of treatment" (The Golden Sayings of Epictetus, LXIX). Being well intentioned and highly intelligent people, they of course determine not to act in a mad manner any longer but to dissolve the corporation without delay and put their minds together to imagine and organise alternative means of livelihood that avoid harming nature.

Imagine what the world would be like if these TNCs all folded and ceased to exist, all at once. Would economic ruin come crashing in any worse than what happened with the recent banking fiasco? Would most people in the world even notice any negative change in their lives at all? I believe that there are relatively few people keeping these monsters alive.  Without TNCs, life on earth would have a better chance because all the vast corporate talent and resources could be directed towards solving problems instead of creating them.  In addition, all the organisations that have formed and work to combat the negative effects of corporations could also dissolve and add to this new direction for positive creative energy.  And I'd start a new blog about cooking or something along those lines.

Moreover, by our governments going into partnership with TNCs, we are more and more losing our democratic rights.  The way I see it, it's either us or TNCs that are heading for extinction.  Once our food supply is ruined, so are we. Unless people are happy turning into machines or becoming extinct and don’t care at all for their souls, then we need drastic change, not just the little tinkering movements which we have been making lately.  I know my choice.

Imagine if everyone just stopped and reflected on their lives for a short while. What if everyone took the time to imagine what they could do to make life on earth more pleasant, safe, calm and happy?  Imagine everyone being happy to live a simple life according to nature and secure in the knowledge that basic needs would be met.  It is possible and it could be that dreams really do come true.

All these TNCs are involved in the mechanisation and ultimate destruction of our food supply and life on earth. The list is not static, in any particular order or claimed to be complete, except that Monsanto really does tower over the rest:

While we're waiting for this miracle to occur, please join me in boycotting these corporations.  This includes making sure that your pension does not contribute to them.  If enough people stopped supporting them, they would be given that little push to awaken which is sometimes all it takes.

mmm .......... the coast is clear
